A Foal is Born!
We decided to put two of our mares down at Newton Stud last year to try our hand at breeding. Well regarded friends in the field explained that it is great fun, a complete gamble in terms of what comes out and a great way to spend money. Given David has no intentions of going to Las Vegas gambling then this seemed to fill the brief!
We were fortunate enough to breed two stunning colts (owners bias allowed). Fever Tree by Foundation out of a Dayano mare and Furst Endeavour by Furst Romancier out of a Johnson mare. Both were given high praise by the Anglo European Studbook at the Foal Grading held in September. Both foals are for sale but if not sold we will have the pleasure of watching them grow up over the next few years.
